Cinema In 2009

This year Will be wonderful for me. Action and Sci Fi movies with a lot of special effects are my favorite and 2009 is full of them.

Here are some:

Terminator Salvation - Hope this movie marks the long awaited changed in the terminator saga (This time without Arnold in the way!).

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - If the first was wonderful, the second i hope it will be fantastic!(Sometimes this isn’t true… Well we will be here to see…)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - My favorite character of all the marvel universe. Can’t wait for the premiere.

Star Trek - Has a fan, i hope this movie brings a new beginning for the Star Trek saga.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li - This is one of “those” movies… I want to watch because i’m a huge fan of Street Fighter… But i’m afraid… Very very afraid…

Dragon Ball Evolution - This is another of “those” movies. The trailer suggests a wonderful action movie, with a lot of fights dragon ball style! But there are some unforgivable errors like Bulma’s hair for instance…

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - Loved the first, loved the second. A great saga now with an untold story: How the Lycans and the Vampires became mortal enemies!

New Dragon Ball Trailer

Some while ago i posted a Trailer od Dragon Ball that had been leaked. Now the official trailer is here with some major changes (Starting with the Name - Dragon Ball Evolution - maybe to justify the changes they made to the original anime story).

Dragon Ball

Last week the teaser trailer of the movie Dragon Ball has leaked (his official release should be 13 October).

I’m very afraid of this movie. I’m a huge dragon ball fan and i’m afraid that the guys at fox don’t respect the soul of the animated series.

10 April 2009 we are all here to see if the movie will be what the fans are expecting or not. Meanwhile, here is the leaked teaser trailer.

Star Wars: Clone Wars

As a fan of Star Wars it gives me great pleasure to present another star wars movie:

Well, it’s not a movie like the others. At least not with real people. It a animated movie, computer made, with a style similar to the TMNT movie.

The story takes place between episode 2 and 3. You cannot figure much from the trailer, but at least you can see that Skywalker has a Padawan, there is a new Sith, a girl, and the plot is related with the kidnap of Jabba the Hut’s Son.

Iron Man

Yesterday i saw (finally) the movie Iron Man. I was afraid because some book/comic books adaptations usually ruin all the story (like Hulk and Eragon for instance).

Well, let’s just say that the movie was a very good surprise. A very good story, told without any rush. With a lot of action and GREAT special effects! Now i know why this movie is have such a success all over the world.

I’m anxious for Iron Man 2. Maybe they’ll put the War Machine (Iron Man’s partner) and Mandarim (has the villain). These were things that the fans would really enjoy.

This is definitely a must have movie (maybe this will be my first blue ray movie) .

I am Legend - Did that guys…

… even read the book?

For starters, the zombies in the movie are actually vampires in the book! And the title of the movie cames from the fact that the main character is the only human alive on earth (from there comes the legend!).

One of the other differences is the girl that saves Robert during the movie. She isn’t an human, is a vampire that has a simple mission: kill the main character.

In the movie, Robert also tries to find a cure but in the book there is no such things has cures or experiences to find a cure. Also , all vampires know where Robert lives so he is attacked very frequently.

I think the movie is great (at least until the first half of it). Then it seams that budget ended an they had to end the movie in a hurry.

One of my hopes when i was seeing the movie was that the zombies had some intelligence and they, at some point, accepted the cure.

Although i didn’t liked the story, the special effects were GREAT!

10,000 BC

Here is a old movie concept, with a twist that can make it a blockbuster!

Old movie concept because it’s the old “bad guy kills all, bad guy takes girl, Good guy saves girl” cliché. But with a twist: an epic with action and great special effect.

All the sets are fantastic! By the looks of the trailer, it seems that 10000 bc will be one of the great movies of 2008. I hope i’m right (unfortunately some movies which i believed that could become great movies - like I am Legend - disappointed me…).
